The iconic outdoor amphitheatre the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles is as renowned for its live performances as it is for its architecture – a ‘band shell’ comprised of a distinctive set of concentric arches. It was also the key driver for a third generation Southern Californian resident who wanted to transform her backyard.
Firing up design
Any business knows that first impressions can make or break you when it comes to attracting new clients. So when Hoflehner Interiors commissioned Michael Prohaska of brenn-punkt, Architects of Fire, to work HIS magic on one of HOFLEHNER’S showrooms, all involved knew the design had to make a visual impact.
When Daniel Vandenbark walked into this newly built loft-style condominium in Houston Texas, he knew exactly where a fireplace should be positioned. “The second I walked in, I knew this particular wall would be ideal,” Daniel says. “It would mean you could see the glow of the fire from the TV room and surrounding living spaces.”
